Dry Wax Tote bag

Description
Dry Wax Tote Bag
It gets carried off a gravel pull-in somewhere along the Northumberland coast, wind coming hard off the North Sea, rain threatening but never quite committing. The tote hangs heavy at the hip, canvas darkened where the weather keeps brushing past, salt already starting its quiet work. Inside, there is bread wrapped in paper from a village bakery, a folded OS map, a notebook that smells faintly of damp wool.
Later, it sits on a low stone wall above Hadrian’s Wall, straps twisted once around the hand while boots are retied and the light shifts. A thermos comes out. Tea, strong, no ceremony. The bag stays open, easy, not precious. Mud marks the base. That is the point.
By evening, it rests under a wooden table in a small pub near Alnmouth. A pint of Black Sheep lands. The tote leans, slouches, waits. It has done the day without complaint. It will do tomorrow the same way.
