We got the day started with a morning coffee at 'China House' in Georgetown, where 3 heritage houses side by side had been converted into 14 spaces of shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries, bars and a monster bakery with more cakes then you could poke a stick at. We gorged our way through the China House and across the road to the mystical 'The Secret of Irresistible Pastry', a Cantonese style bakery that makes top shelf egg custard tarts. After sampling a few too many goodies we rolled next door to check out the charming 'Victoria Cafe' but (for once we were glad that) it had not opened yet for food.
