Description

The days start early on the Camino de Santiago, boots dusty, pace steady, heat already sitting on your shoulders. The trail stretches out and thins as the crowds fall away. You walk longer between stops, hat pulled low, moving on instinct more than schedule.

In the final days, the route turns west. Border signs come and go. Spain drops behind you and Portugal opens out ahead, quieter and warmer. The ground softens, the air changes, and the walk stops feeling like a challenge and starts feeling like release.

By the time the track finishes toward the Atlantic, Ericeira is waiting. Salt on the breeze. Boards stacked against walls. You sit long enough to let your feet cool, order grilled sardines, and watch the light flatten across the water.

  • Machine washable in cold/warm water with a mild detergent for washing; do not tumble dry.
  • Hang dry or lay flat in the shade. If necessary, use a hairdryer to remove creases caused by squashing or incorrect storage.
  • Avoid leaving your hat in a hot car.
  • A good rule of thumb is - if it's too hot to touch, then it's too hot for your hat!
