Walk-A-Bout Oilskin Pants

They get pulled on outside Ulaanbaatar while the Royal Enfield Himalayan ticks and cools, bags already dusty before the day properly starts. The road fades fast. What follows barely qualifies as a track. Wind pushes sideways. Fine grit works its way into everything that is not sealed or earned.

By the second day the landscape feels endless. Low ridgelines. Hard ground. Long distances between stops. The Mongol Rally pace is brutal and indifferent. You ride, you stop, you fix something, then you ride again. The pants stay on through all of it. Knees in the dirt. Oilskin holding its shape. Nothing tearing when you misjudge a rut or slide off balance.

Later, camp goes quiet somewhere on the edge of the Gobi Desert. A battered kettle boils. Tea gets poured without ceremony. The pants are still on because there is no reason to take them off yet. They were built for movement first, comfort later, and quitting never.

Heavy-duty cotton canvas impregnated with oils and waxes which is wind and water resistant yet breathable. It is durable and ideal for outdoor use, with a distinctive rugged texture that ages beautifully over time

Care
  • Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag or a spray with a hose if it's really dirty.
  • Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance.
  • To prevent the transfer of oils, avoid prolonged contact between oilskin goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.
  • When not in use for prolonged periods, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the fabric’s quality and functionality.

great pants , good quality , comfortable on the bike , wore over the top of pair of levis on a 5 degree day and was happy with there ability to keep the wind out , so did not freeze . have not worn in the rain yet so no comment on that front .they look pretty cool as well .

Never could find pants big enough.

I would buy several more pairs, if that wasn't the last pair of it's extra large and extra long. I'm actually about to get on chat with you guys to see about getting 5 more made at some point, also if to see if you would make one and how much would a custom duster might cost.

Oil skin

Pants were delivered in a timely manner.
Material was excellent and what was wanted However the straps were way too long and could easily be caught in a chain. Very generous sizing and were sent back for smaller ones with were also too big. Partner is a 32". 28 yo 42 way too big balloon style type pant.

Nice pants

First of all you will need to hang them on the clothesline to get some sun so the oil drys out a little bit as it will be slippery on your bike seat. Size small will fit anyone that wears size 34 Jean size or smaller , pockets are large enough for your phone and smokes, these pants are made to last many years of riding
