Description

Kids Joey Soaka Hat with Tucson Band

The Joey Soaka Hat is built for kids who don’t stay where you put them. Made in Australia from micro suede Soaka, it is light, tough, and quick to dry, designed to take water, dust, and rough handling without losing its shape. UPF 50+ protection and a wide brim keep the sun off faces that forget to look for shade.

The poly suede handles heat better than it looks. Ventilation eyelets keep air moving when the day warms up, and the built-in chinstrap keeps the hat where it belongs when running turns into climbing. The hand painted Tucson band adds colour without turning it into costume, finished with a Kakadu metal badge that marks it as proper gear, not a toy.

It gets worn chasing kites along K’gari, fingers sticky from mango, sand worked into everything. Later it’s still on at the ferry terminal, salty, damp, and exactly how it should be. Built for movement, mess, and days that end later than planned.

All hats in our Soaka micro-suede range come with a built-in chinstrap and have a UPF 50+. They are ultra-lightweight - they weigh less than 150gm / 5oz.

Please note that just like with adults, kids head sizes are not determined by age so please measure your child's head before ordering.

Material & Care

Poly-Suede

Soaka hats are made from specially made poly-suede which is a durable synthetic fiber known for its resilience and ease of care. It has been constructed to be highly durable, quick-drying, and resistant to shrinking and stretching, making it ideal for hats

Care
  • Machine washable in cold/warm water with a mild detergent for washing; do not tumble dry.
  • Hang dry or lay flat in the shade. If necessary, use a hairdryer to remove creases caused by squashing or incorrect storage.
  • Avoid leaving your hat in a hot car.
  • A good rule of thumb is - if it's too hot to touch, then it's too hot for your hat!
