After dropping the bike off we decided to take a detour via Dong Tai Lu Antique Market to check out some local vintage. Being mid week, the vendors were relaxing, barely getting up to sell which gave us a chance to check things out without too much hassle. Someone had described the market as a bootleg Antique Roadshow and they were pretty much spot on with everything from 'authentic' Ming china to Mao memorabilia to old toys and even some Terracotta Warriors thrown in. But my favourite? The amazing collection of 1950-70 Chinese suitcases and trunks we found on the side street.

Sadly, one vendor told me that they're moving to an indoor market and tearing down the buildings so I'm glad I got a chance to cruise the street and experience the old world charm.
