Description

Workhorse Drovers Jacket

It gets pulled on at a quiet halt along the West Highland Line, rain already pushing sideways across the platform. The jacket feels stiff at first, oilskin cold and honest, then settles as you start moving. Hills fold into mist. Stone walls sweat. There is no clear edge between ground and sky, only wet grass and forward motion.

By midday the path climbs, boots cutting into peat, wind pressing hard across open ground. The jacket takes the weather without complaint. Rain beads, runs, disappears. The storm cape earns its keep when the squalls roll through and waiting stops making sense. This is not scenery. It is exposure.

Later, when daylight gives up early, the jacket stays on inside a low pub where coats drip and a Guinness lands heavy on the table. Outside, the weather keeps working the hills. Inside, the Workhorse hangs darkened and solid, exactly where it belongs.

Heavy-duty cotton canvas impregnated with oils and waxes which is wind and water resistant yet breathable. It is durable and ideal for outdoor use, with a distinctive rugged texture that ages beautifully over time

Care
  • Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag or a spray with a hose if it's really dirty.
  • Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance.
  • To prevent the transfer of oils, avoid prolonged contact between oilskin goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.

I have the long and now this version, both are incredible to wear, bets go one size up tho if your planning to wear some thing thicker under it. great quality as you expected from Kakadu

Delivery was time was great, awesome quality but. I returned for a smaller size, its been sitting at the return address for about 2 weeks. Ive sent a couple of emails concerning it, without getting a reply and would really appreciate an update.

MY NEW WET WEATHER COAT

there's been no rain here in WA fir the last 6 months so I'm forward planning for winter 2024 on my 5 acre bush block in Perth south metro.
Ice tried it on, feels great and size right for being able to to have other winter garments under as I ordered for 2 sizes larger than my normal size. The size chart supplied by Kakadu is correct and their oilskin is therefore size correct.
I don't order 4Xl clothes from China as there is no guarantee it will even size fit 2XL aa a comparison.
Consequently all good so far.
