Santa Fe Shapeable Hat

By the time the dust kicks up, it is already too late. The playa is alive, engines idling, music bleeding across camps, goggles pulled tight. Somewhere between sunrise and heatstroke, it starts to feel like that moment in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, when the rally dissolves into noise, dust, and bad decisions made at speed. This is Burning Man at full tilt. Nothing clean. Nothing still.

A Jeep Wrangler crawls out past the outer ring, tyres throwing powder into the air. The hat stays planted. Safari-embossed leather holding its shape while everything else loosens up. By afternoon, drinks are poured heavy and careless. Bourbon Kentucky straight from the bottle. No glass. No ceremony. Just enough shade to slow the spiral.

When the sun finally drops, the leather shows its work. Dust in the seams. Pattern catching the light. Proof you stayed out longer than planned and did not bother pretending otherwise.

Embossed Pull-up Leather

High-quality, aniline-dyed bovine leather treated with a unique blend of oils and waxes. The leather exhibits a beautiful color change effect when the leather is stretched or bent, enhancing its vintage aesthetic and making each piece unique.

Care
  • Do not wash or dry clean – brush off surface dirt with a soft brush and/or wipe clean with a damp rag. 
  • Periodically apply a leather conditioner to maintain water resistance and protect the finish.
  • To avoid oil transfer, keep away from light-colored fabrics, especially in warm conditions.
  • Avoid leaving leather goods in a hot car where the high temperatures may affect the quality and finish of the leather.
  • A good rule of thumb is - if it's too hot to touch, then it's too hot for your hat!

Perfect fitting hat that is very comfortable. Looks great and is easy to put back in shape when necessary.

Nice hat, I already own 2 other Kakadu hats so this one makes 3.
The first two have travelled through Asia with me over the years and have gotten some good reactions where ever I went.
This new hat is the best fit out of the three, very comfortable to wear. I have trailed it over the last weekend to break it in.
I have just 2 small issues, the embossed pattern is very feint on the front of the brim and front hat section, whereas the pattern is quite easily seen around the rest of the hat, and the second was after wearing it on a very hot day I had a tan line on my forehead that must have leached from the leather from sweat.
Overall, I'm very impressed with my latest purchase, Lets see how it goes on my next trip overseas.

I really like the hat. It’s exactly what I thought it would be. But I bought the wrong size and have to exchange it for a smaller size. The hat is made so well and I look great in it. I’m looking forward to getting the same hat.
